Tumblers from Stainsby Gymnastics made a fantastic start to 2015 for the club. 23 gymnasts from the club competed in the Regional NDP (National Development Plan) Championships and we achieved our best ever results with 9 qualifying for the National Semi-finals.
The Regional competition was held at Hartlepool Gymnastics club on Sunday 1st February and was attended by around 150 tumblers from across the region.
The top two in each category going forward to the semi finals to represent the North of England.
Out of the 23 Stainsby Gymnasts we gained 14 medals with 9 gymnasts placing 1st and 2nd. Five Gold, Five Silver and four Bronze.
The Gymnasts that will progress to the Semi Finals are
GOLD – Thomas Reynolds – Level 1 Boys 11- 12 years
GOLD – Kaitlyn Huckins – Level 4 Girls 9-10 years
GOLD – Cole Parker – Level 5 Boys 11-12 years
GOLD – Isabella Danieli – Level 5 Girls 13/14 years
GOLD – Jessica McCallay – Level 6 Girls 13+ years
SILVER – Owen Lane – Level 1 Boys 9-10 years
SILVER – Isaac Bennison – Level 1 Boys 11-12 years
SILVER – Ellie Wilkinson – Level 4 Girls 13+ years
SILVER – Erin Peters – Level 6 Girls 13+ years
The other gymnasts who won medals were:-
SILVER – Alesha Reed – Level Girls 11-12 years (tied 2nd place just missing out on qualifying)
BRONZE – Tom Caird – Level 1 Boys 11-12 years
BRONZE – Lucy Frankland – Level 1 Girls 11-12 years
BRONZE – Ellie Cornelius – Level 1 Girls 13+ years
BRONZE – Grace Spensley – Level 4 Girls 13+ years
